About the role
Council is looking to take on several amenities’ cleaners on short-term contracts to assist with peak workloads. Both part-time and full-time arrangements will be considered.

Work is performed Monday to Sunday and involves early morning starts (5am). Saturday & Sunday penalty rates apply to weekend work.

Duties
Reporting directly to the Asset Officer Maintenance, the focus of this position is to:

  • Utilise industrial cleaning equipment to clean Council’s public amenities and buildings (internal and external).
  • Involves: driving to different locations across the region and cleaning all aspects of the amenities such as: toilets and urinals, floors, walls, sinks & mirrors (pressure washing, scrubbing, mopping, collecting rubbish etc).

Skills & Experience
In order to be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

  • 2 years demonstrated experience in commercial/industrial cleaning.
  • Current National WHS Construction Card (SafeWork NSW).
  • Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship (for Permanent position)
  • Proof of right to work in Australia (for casual/ temporary position)
