Works & Contract Manager - Holiday Haven

About the role
This is a permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm position working 35 hours per week. This position is located with the Holiday Haven team at 10 Pleasant Way, Nowra.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

Reporting directly to the Manager – Tourist Parks, the focus of this position is to:

  • Manage the works and contracts team.
  • Manage the capital works and maintenance programs
  • Participate in the Holiday Haven leadership team
  • To lead and coordinate the proposal, specification and supervision of building construction and maintenance works for Holiday Haven Tourist Parks and to supervise the Holiday Haven Works & Projects Officers.
  • To lead and coordinate the project management of various Tourist Park projects including staff, consultants and contractors.
  • To provide efficient and cost-effective investigations, estimates, supervision and certification for various projects and activities relating to the management and operation of Holiday Haven Tourist Parks.
  • To provide technical support for Tourist Park management and administration.
  • Ensure processes and protocols are in place for the Holiday Haven Team’s compliance with all relevant legislation and Council policies and ensure that risks are managed.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of asset management plans

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will possess:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications (Minimum of Diploma) in a relevant field, such as Project Management, Building or Civil Construction, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the field of building maintenance and construction.
  • Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and foster teamwork within and between teams to deliver services for the benefit of the community.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate the tender process and contract documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise siteworks, including contractor’s work and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Well developed oral, written and interpersonal skills to communicate with diverse groups of people at both a general and technical level.
  • Well developed computer skills for project management, budget and contract management record keeping.
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
