Team Leader Cleaning Services

This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week (Monday to Sunday) and will be based at the Nowra Administration Building, with travel throughout the LGA. Please note, flexibility may be required to work outside of these hours in accordance with the award and as required by operational requirements.

Duties
Reporting directly to the Team Supervisor – Building Management, the focus of this position is to:

  • Supervises and supports the Cleaning Services work group within Council to enable Council to function at an optimal level.
  • Perform commercial / industrial cleaning duties in all areas of Council’s buildings – both internal and external, using industrial and commercial cleaning equipment to accepted industry standards.
  • Regular visual inspections of cleaned building asset sites to ensure a high standard of service has been provided to customers.
  • Coordinate and monitor contractors engaged by Council to undertake maintenance operations as required, ensuring compliance with WHS, WorkCover and Administration Building Security.
  • Ensure the work area’s compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies and ensure that risks are managed.  

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will possess a:

  • Certificate III in Cleaning Operations or equivalent experience.
  • Current National WHS Construction Card (WorkCover).
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
  • Demonstrated commitment to supporting and developing others to achieve work goals.
  • Capacity to supervise team activities and monitor the use of resources to deliver planned results for customers and the community.
  • Demonstrated high level customer service and interpersonal skills.

This position requires a current NSW Working with Children Check. Applicants are required to apply and pay for this check if not already obtained.
