Water Revenue Manager

About the role
Full-time position working 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm) and will be based at Nowra Administration Building

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

Duties
Reporting directly to the Manager Water Business Services, the focus of this position is to:

  • Lead the Water Revenue Team in effectively managing the resources and operational requirements of the Revenue Team.
  • Lead the evaluation and review of existing revenue streams and the identification of potential new revenue streams across the Water Utility.
  • Participate in preparation of the annual budget and Strategic Business Plan.
  • Manage key external contractors including the responsibility of the budget control, contract management and performance, manage the review of scope and tender process to meet local government tender guidelines.
  • Lead the successful operation of the billing systems relating to the water and sewer fund and support the implementation and ongoing development of corporate systems that relate to the Water Utility
  • Maintain and ensure the integrity of the waters accounts database in accordance with Local Government Act 1993 along with all water specific legislation and regulations.

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will possess:

  • Degree level qualifications in Business, Commerce or other relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a senior revenue, finance, or business management position
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence
