About the role 

Shoalhaven City Council is seeking a Governance Officer to provide key administrative support for Council and committee meetings. This role provides excellent opportunities to learn more about Local Government. You will be part of a small, friendly team helping to keep Council working efficiently for our community. This is a permanent full time position will require occasional after-hours work to attend meetings.


Duties
 

Reporting directly to the Senior Governance Officer, the focus of this position is to: 

  • Provide executive and administrative support in matters relating to the convening, conducting and minuting of Council and committee meetings.

 

Skills & Experience

In order to be successful in the position, you will possess: 

  • TAFE Certificate in Administration or equivalent and/or experience in a related field
  • Experience in minute-taking
  • Class C Driver’s Licence
