Finance Department are seeking a Procurement Business Partner to join our Procurement Team on a 6- month contract

About the role

We currently have a full time 6-month position and a 18 month position available, Monday to Friday 35 hours per week in Nowra Administration Building.


Reporting directly to the Procurement Supervisor, the focus of this position is to:

  • Responsible for the provision of specialist advice on a range of procurement categories to stakeholders to plan, develop, source, and manage procurement arrangements to effectively meet organisational and business objectives.
  • Maintain and review the FMIS procurement catalogues to ensure organisational procurement is measurable, monitorable and reportable against adopted Council reporting structure.
  • Deliver technical, procedural, and application training in procurement to support the organisational business objectives and outcomes.

Skills & Experience

In order to be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

  • Certificate IV in Procurement/Contracting or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience in providing high level procurement advice to a large multi- functional government organisation
  • Demonstrated 3+ years of experience providing advice and support in procurement processes including tenders, quotations and expressions of interest in a Local Government Environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in interpreting Local Government NSW tendering legislation
