Shoalhaven City Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced marketing professional to the position of Marketing & Digital Media Assistant. This position will work closely with the Marketing & Media Specialist to market the programs of the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre based in Nowra.

Your New Role

 Reporting directly to the Marketing & Media Specialist, the focus of this position is to:

  • Assist the Marketing & Media Specialist to deliver  targeted promotional campaigns to support and promote the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre (SEC)
  • Assist the Marketing & Media Specialist to devise, implement and manage marketing strategies
  • Administer the Centre’s social media platforms and website
  • Implement, manage, monitor and assess reach and effectiveness of digital and social media strategies, campaigns, activities and projects 

This position requires a current Working with Children Check to be produced by the applicant at interview.

Council requires applicants for this position to undergo a National Criminal History Check during the recruitment process. This check will be at the expense of Council.

About You

In order to be successful in the position, you will possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications and marketing or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of three years’ work experience in a marketing role or a closely related field, ideally in arts and entertainment
  • Experience in a similar role identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Demonstrated knowledge of social media platforms and digital communications including marketing, promotional and social media principles and experience in developing copy, images and video clips suitable for digital media use across many platforms
  • Excellent research and writing skills
